Technician Service Agreement

Independent Contractor

You acknowledge that you are an independent contractor, not an employee of BoatGrid. You are responsible for your own taxes, insurance, and business operations.

Lead Fees & Payment

BoatGrid charges a lead fee or percentage per job secured through the marketplace. Payment terms and platform fees are outlined per job and may be updated with notice.

Professional Conduct

You agree to perform services in a workmanlike manner, hold valid licenses where required, carry applicable insurance, and uphold BoatGrid’s quality standards.

Customer Data & Privacy

You may only use customer information provided through BoatGrid to fulfill the booked service. You may not resell, share, or solicit customers outside the platform.

Liability & Indemnification

You assume all risk for work performed. You agree to indemnify and hold BoatGrid harmless from claims arising out of your services or business operations.

Term & Termination

This agreement remains in effect while your account is active. BoatGrid may suspend or terminate access for violations of these terms or marketplace policies.

BOATGRID MARINE TECHNICIAN SERVICE AGREEMENT — Version 2026-08

This Marine Technician Service Agreement ("Agreement") is entered into between BoatGrid ("BoatGrid," "we," or "us") and you, the independent marine technician or business ("Technician," "you") applying to join the BoatGrid marketplace.

1. INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR STATUS
You acknowledge that you are an independent contractor and not an employee, agent, or partner of BoatGrid. You are solely responsible for your own taxes, licenses, insurance, equipment, and business operations. Nothing in this Agreement creates an employment relationship.

2. LEAD FEES AND PAYMENT
BoatGrid operates a lead-based marketplace. Fees, percentages, and payment terms are disclosed per job and may be updated with reasonable notice. You agree to pay all applicable lead fees and platform fees for jobs secured through BoatGrid. Disputes regarding fees must be raised within thirty (30) days of the charge.

3. PROFESSIONAL STANDARDS
You agree to perform all marine repair and maintenance services in a workmanlike, professional manner consistent with industry standards. You represent that you hold all licenses, certifications, and insurance required by your jurisdiction to perform the services you advertise.

4. CUSTOMER DATA AND PRIVACY
Customer information provided through BoatGrid (contact details, boat specifications, location) may be used solely to fulfill the booked service. You may not resell, share, market to, or solicit BoatGrid customers outside of the platform.

5. LIABILITY AND INDEMNIFICATION
You assume all risk for the work you perform. You agree to indemnify and hold harmless BoatGrid, its officers, and affiliates from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising out of your services, conduct, or business operations, including but not limited to property damage, personal injury, or incomplete work.

6. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY & BRANDING
BoatGrid retains all rights to its name, marks, and platform. You may not represent yourself as an employee of BoatGrid or use BoatGrid branding outside the marketplace without written permission.

7. TERM AND TERMINATION
This Agreement is effective upon acceptance and remains in effect while your account is active. BoatGrid may suspend or terminate your access for violations of these terms, marketplace policies, or applicable law. You may terminate your participation at any time by discontinuing use of the platform.

8. GOVERNING LAW
This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which BoatGrid operates. Any disputes shall be resolved in the appropriate courts of that jurisdiction.
